Online video editor Yuzzit has rolled out Smart Clip, an AI-powered tool integrated directly into its Yuzzit Studio platform. This new feature is designed to analyze lengthy video content, pinpointing relevant segments and automatically generating a curated selection of clips. Each clip comes with a suggested title, description, and tags, ready for publication.
The system reportedly processes 90 minutes of video in just two minutes, supporting both pre-recorded and live-streamed content already managed by Yuzzit. Once Smart Clip has identified potential highlights, users can further refine and edit these selections within the standard Yuzzit Studio workflow, which includes automated subtitling, smart cropping, branding, and simultaneous multi-platform publishing.
This automation is aimed squarely at media professionals, including newsrooms, editorial teams, and social media departments, who need to maximize the value of their long-form video assets. The promise is a significant reduction in manual clipping and metadata generation, freeing up teams to focus on creative refinement and distribution. Frédéric Bruel, CEO and founder of Yuzzit, claims that customers testing Smart Clip have, on average, published three times more clips using the same team.
Smart Clip fits into Yuzzit’s broader offering as a cloud-based video editor that emphasizes real-time editing and rapid content delivery across various platforms. The company also offers integrations, such as a plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro, allowing editors to import live-cut content directly into their professional editing workflows. The core idea is to minimize workflow interruptions and accelerate the journey from raw footage to published, engaging content.
